5G: Getting Ready for Implementation

Although 4G technology is still in the process of being rolled out, it has now truly become the world’s new mobile standard. At the same time, though, 5G technology has quickly been gaining ground in the standardization community and is getting closer and closer to being implemented on a mass scale.

I recently shared some of my thoughts on what’s next for 5G in a video, and below, in a second part to that video, I talk more on how 4G is paving the way for 5G, what steps companies should take to get ready for 5G, and how Syniverse is preparing for 5G. Please take a look.

As Senior Strategy Director and Head of Industry Standards at Syniverse, Pradeep Bhardwaj serves as a senior technology adviser overseeing strategic initiatives to advance the adoption of leading-edge technologies and standards, such as 5G, the internet of things, mobile edge computing, LTE, and VoLTE.
