This year, a major technology shift will finally begin. After many years of development, the much anticipated first commercial rollouts of 5G, or fifth generation of wireless networks, have finally begun. 5G will bring higher speeds, lower lag times, and much larger data transfer capacity, but it will also bring much more. Together, 5G capabilities will empower a new era of mobile that will enable things like self-driving cars and millions of new wireless devices, like wearables and industrial product sensors, to be connected to the next generation of wireless networks.
Syniverse is right in the center of the mobile ecosystem helping companies prepare for this massive leap, and as part of this, we’ve put together a guide, titled “The future is 5G,” that addresses some of the most common questions we hear about what 5G will mean and what new services it will bring. I invite you to download this guide here or below.
I also invite you to learn more about Syniverse’s 5G plans at MWC Barcelona later this month. We’ll be making some major announcements about new 5G services as well as outline our vision for 5G moving forward. If you’re coming to Barcelona, be sure to visit us at Fira Barcelona Gran Via at Stand 2G11 in Hall 2. And if you can’t make it to Barcelona, please go to our MWC Barcelona event page to get a rundown of all our activities, and stay tuned right here, on Synergy, for our latest announcements and highlights from the show.
As mobile traffic continues to explode and new technologies like the internet of things drive massive numbers of devices online, 5G will play an essential role in our future, where all facets of the world will be integrated with and powered by mobile. Syniverse is looking forward to playing a central role in this exciting future, and I urge you to check out our 5G guide to better understand what 5G will bring.
