Syniverse Chief Marketing Officer Mary Clark is named to the Global Telecoms Business list of “50 CMOs to Watch” for her critical role in Syniverse’s acquisitions of MACH and Aicent and her leadership in launching Syniverse’s Enterprise and Intelligence Solutions brand, which allows mobile operators to monetize subscriber data by making it available for enterprises.

Syniverse CEO Steve Gray was named to the Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Power100, which recognizes the most powerful, influential people in the telecommunications industry. GTB recognized Steve at number 54 for his leadership in the telecommunications industry. Steve serves as an Operating Executive with the Carlyle Group and as chairman and on the board of directors for numerous organizations. As Syniverse CEO, Steve will continue the development of Syniverse’s mobile context exchange, which gives operators the ability to turn information traversing networks into actionable insights for brands to better deliver personalized user experiences.

MarCom Awards

Syniverse was recognized for the sixth consecutive year by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals' MarCom Awards, this year receiving a gold award for The Syniverse Blog, Synergy.

2014 Phoenix Winners

Syniverse was recognized with a Phoenix Award in the global communications category from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Georgia Chapter, for seizing the $11.9 billion mobile context opportunity in Asia.

NimbusNinety’s Ignite Awards

NimbusNinety’s Ignite Awards recognizes Syniverse as the winner of the Mobile Innovation Award in honor of its collaboration with MasterCard to mitigate fraud by leveraging the geolocation of a cardholder’s mobile device. The awards celebrate disruptive innovation in a customer-first world.

SESAMES Award 2014

Powered by the Mobile Intelligence Portal, Syniverse’s fraud prevention solution won two of this year’s SESAMES Awards for Trusted Internet/Authentication and Retail/Loyalty. This opt-in solution is a collaboration with MasterCard to leverage the geolocation of a cardholder’s mobile device to authorize payment transactions.

Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2014

Syniverse and Samsung’s collaboration to create a first-of-its kind Wi-Fi roaming solution in Indonesia has been recognized by the Wireless Broadband Alliance as the Best Next Generation Wi-Fi Application. The collaboration led to the co-development of S Air, which is the industry’s first OEM preinstalled Wi-Fi application, which enhances the experience of owning a Samsung device by making Wi-Fi easy to find, connect to and use.

E-Tech award winner

Syniverse was recognized as an E-Tech award winner for “Location and Proximity Services” for its partnership between MasterCard that gives financial institutions the ability to compare credit card transaction locations with their cardholders' mobile device location to reduce false positives, assure payments and improve customer satisfaction.

CCA Associate Member Annual Achievement Award

Syniverse was selected as this year’s CCA Associate Member Annual Achievement Award winner for its involvement with local and national charities and encouragement of employees to stay involved through community service, material contributions or monetary donations.

GTB Winner 2014

Syniverse’s launch of the Syniverse Customer Support Center in Costa Rica received a 2014 Gold Quill Merit Award in the External Special Events category within the Communication Skills division. The Gold Quill Awards is the International Association of Business Communicators’ (IABC) premier program recognizing and fostering excellence in the field of business communications worldwide.

Syniverse was honored during the Telecoms.com LTE Awards 2014 at the LTE World Summit 2014, which celebrates innovation and recognizes achievement in the LTE community. Syniverse received top honors in the Best LTE Roaming/IPX Product category for its LTE Solution Portfolio.

For a seventh consecutive year, Syniverse was honored by Global Telecoms Business (GTB) alongside customer KPN with a 2014 GTB Innovation Award in the Business Service Innovation category. Syniverse’s Direct Operator Billing solution was recognized for enabling KPN to roll out simple, secure payments, which enhanced the end-user experience while also introducing a new revenue stream.

Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces

Syniverse was recently honored by The Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces, recognizing the top 100 best places to work in the Tampa Bay area. Syniverse received a No. 19 ranking in the Large Business category, which includes those companies with more than 500 employees in the region. Rankings were based solely on employee opinions, which were collected through a survey conducted by a third party.

GSMA Recognition Award

In 2014, Syniverse’s Senior Industry Relations Director Christer Gullstrand received a recognition award from the GSM Association for his contributions as a delegate to the Billing Accounting and Roaming Group (BARG), providing operators immense insight into Roaming Agreement Exchange (RAEX) Inter Operator Tariff (IOT).

MVNO Awards 2014

Syniverse was selected as a finalist in the Best Solution Vendor category of the 2nd Annual International MVNO Industry Awards. Designed to champion success and celebrate excellence in the MVNO industry, the award will be presented at MVNOs World Congress on April 9.

Data Clearing Award 2014

Syniverse’s Data Clearing House product garnered the top honor of Data Clearing Provider of the Year in ROCCO Roaming Surveys, an annual survey that allows mobile operators to provide their candid opinions of DCH and FCH providers.
