Syniverse joins the Smart Africa Alliance to help accelerate Africa’s Digital Transformation

Kigali, Rwanda, 14 August 2019: Syniverse, the world’s most connected company, today became the newest member of the Smart Africa Alliance. Syniverse joins the alliance as a Gold Private Sector member collaborating with the Alliance to support the implementation of the SMART Africa vision.

Syniverse is a global company that provides technology and business services for a number of telecommunications companies as well as a variety of other multinational enterprises. It securely delivers more than four billion transactions, processes more than two billion text messages, connects with approximately seven billion devices and is connected to more than 750 mobile operators in over 150 countries.

Syniverse, which drives innovation into the mobile ecosystem around interoperability, will collaborate with Smart Africa and its member states and a host of private sector and governmental agencies in achieving the vision of creating a single digital market and provide greater mobile access to more than 600 million African citizens within the Alliance.

Syniverse was established in Africa more than a decade ago and serves more than 150 telecom operators. Syniverse has strengthened its presence with additional offices in Nairobi and Johannesburg and will leverage its long existence and partnership with Smart Africa and its members to help drive innovative digital solutions. Syniverse also supports many Fortune 500 enterprises across the world and will be launching these solutions this year to Smart Africa’s member states.
