The promise of 5G networks is poised to go beyond providing faster speeds for consumers. To date, most of the commercially available 5G services are delivered over 5G non-standalone (NSA) networks, which uses existing 4G infrastructure. But the transition to a 5G core is enabling 5G standalone (SA) networks to provide global IoT roaming for businesses and roaming abroad for consumers.
