Syniverse to Illustrate Value of Mobile Context at Mobile World Congress
TAMPA, Fla. – Feb. 20, 2014 – Syniverse today announced that its integrated efforts at Mobile World Congress 2014 will illustrate how the mobile experience of the future will be defined by mobile context – the insight into consumer use patterns, behaviors and attitudes that is available to mobile service providers and enterprises for the purpose of optimizing the end-user experience.
New mobile services and technologies enable enterprises to engage end users in more contextually relevant ways than ever before. By monitoring the mobile context of an opted-in end user – habit and preference details like location, linkages and affiliations – mobile service providers and enterprises can reach their shared end user where, when and how they want.
On Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. CET in the Conference Village, Hall 4, Auditorium 2, Syniverse Chief Technology Officer Joe DiFonzo will take part in "Mobile Retail: The One Stop Shop," a session that will explore the strategic mobile relationships between financial institutions, merchants, retailers and mobile service providers. In addition to Joe DiFonzo, other session participants include Hany Fam, President, Global Strategic Alliances, MasterCard; Rainer Deutschmann, Senior Vice President, Mobile Products, Deutsche Telekom; Greg Baxter, Global Head, Mobile and Digital Strategy, Citi; and Gibu Thomas, Senior Vice President, Mobile and Digital, Walmart.
In addition, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 9:30 a.m. CET at Fira Montjuic, Alastair Hanlon, Global Vice President, Enterprise Solutions, will speak as part of the "Learn How Mobile Can Enhance the Guest Experience – Pre, During and Post Travel" session during the EyeforTravel @ Mobile World Congress event. Additional speakers during this session include Shannon Kelly, Director, eCommerce Planning and Delivery, United Airlines; Clayton Ruebensaal, Vice President Global Marketing, Ritz Carlton; and Justin Overdorff, Head of Mobile Business Development, Yelp.
