New global LTE roaming insights reveal how LTE evolution impacts 5G, IoT

Fill 4 Created with Sketch.

Tampa, Fla. – Feb. 21, 2018 – Syniverse’s presence at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 will include the release of global LTE roaming trends derived from the analysis of the traffic on its IPX network. In addition, the company will speak on stage at The Fourth Industrial Revolution: IoT Security & the Blockchain session and will support the GLOMO’s Women4Tech awards.

Syniverse’s presence at the conference begins with an announcement of unique insights into the maturity of LTE as a global technology. The data is based on an analysis of traffic across the company’s global IPX network with reach to over 1,000 mobile operators. The insights will shed light on a recent milestone achieved by LTE and the implications this will have on 5G and IoT.

On February 26, Syniverse’s Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, Erin Linch, will join a panel of experts from Cisco, Microsoft, and Qualcomm, among others, for the “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: IoT Security & the Blockchain” session. The panel will discuss how the industry can securely adopt IoT technologies and services despite inherent business risks that come with the complexity and volume of connected devices. This session will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. CET in Hall 4, Auditorium 4, at the main venue, Fira Gran Via, in Barcelona.

On March 1, Syniverse is the sponsor of the Women4Tech category of the GSMA’s GLOMO Awards to recognize and celebrate industry leaders that have played key roles in encouraging and retaining females in the telecommunications and technology sectors. The awards focus on those promoting opportunities for women in career development, talent retention, mentorship, business and education.

Syniverse will provide regular updates about its MWC activities via social media. Attendees and non-attenders alike can stay up to date on Syniverse’s involvement at the conference by following Syniverse on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, and by reading Syniverse’s blog.
